COVID-19

All of us at Healthy Smiles Dental are excited to be back at work! And we are more prepared than ever to care for your dental needs in a safe environment.

The Pennsylvania department of Health has given dental providers the “OK” to open and see patients. Realizing that dental care is an important part of your overall heath, the DOH is allowing dentists to make a clinical judgement as to what care should be completed at this time. With that said, we will be seeing patients for most types of procedures including your six month check up and maintenance cleaning.

Dental offices have always been on the forefront of infection control, sterilization, and disinfection. With the new Coronavirus Pandemic, Dr. Kingston and the rest of the team have added some safety procedures to protect your health. We want you to know it is safe to keep your dental appointment.

Some of the extra steps we are now taking include:

  • Every employee is temperature screened and checked at the start of each day to make sure they are healthy.

  • Patients temperatures will be taken as well to ensure no one has a fever about 100.4 F

  • Chairs in our reception room are now at least 6 feet apart.

  • Plexi-glass barriers at the front office

  • Hand sanitizer placed at multiple locations in the office

  • Staff is wiping down/disinfecting doors, restrooms, flat surfaces multiple times per day

  • Staff is equipped with additional PPE including KN95 masks, Face Shields, and gowns when needed for certain procedures.

  • Pre-screen COVID-19 questions prior to appointment

When you arrive for your appointment, we do have some new protocols:

  • We are asking that when you arrive, please stay in your car and call 717-945-7440 or text 717-896-6780 the office to let us know you are here

  • Please wear a mask when you enter the building

  • When you enter, someone will meet you at the door and take your temperature

  • You will be asked to answer a series of COVID-19 questions

We are working on reaching out to all patients who had an appointment scheduled during our time of closing and will be in touch soon. Thank you for working with us as we adjust to these new circumstances. We are looking forward to seeing all of you – our patients! And it is our commitment to making your dental visit as safe and comfortable as possible.
